Members of Congress have the privilege of recommending a select group of individuals for admission to the United States service academies: Army, Navy, Air Force and Merchant Marine. The limited number of available appointments is highly competitive. Applicants must be residents of Michigan's Fourth Congressional District and between the ages of 17 and 22.
Applications will be accepted beginning on April and the deadline for submitting applications is November 1. Academy Board interviews will be held in early December.
